Every time a resource from this website is requested, data related to the request is temporarily processed and stored in a log file. Specifically, the following data is stored for every request in connection with your visit to our website:

• The address of the previous web page from which a link to the currently requested resource was followed,
• The resources of our site you requested (URLs, downloads),
• The date and time of the request (timestamp),
•  Your anonymised IP address (the last components of your IP address are removed to protect the visitors’ privacy),
• Information on the device you used during your visit (name and version of the operating system, name and version of the Web browser).

This data is processed for the following purposes:

To better understand what makes our website interesting to visitors and whether they are able to navigate it easily, we use the open source Web Analytics tool “Matomo”. To do so, we do not store cookies on your end device and only collect anonymised data about your visit:

• Your anonymised IP address (the last components of your IP address are removed to protect visitors’ privacy),

This data is processed for the purpose of statistical analysis to further improve and optimise our website. Information on the website usage may be used when applying for research projects aiming to update and expand the content of the website.

The provision of the aforementioned personal data is neither legally nor contractually mandatory. Without the IP address however, the service and functionality of our website are not guaranteed.
